This album marks the first time exploring deeply personal lyrics. The lyrics cover a wide area of human emotion, ranging from grief and loss to euphoria and living in the moment, from self-doubt to confidence and triumph.

The title of each single has been portrayed in British Sign Language, with guidance from the British Deaf Association. This continues to the album artwork, with crossed fingers in a universal sign of hope and luck.
