WHO ARE chasing deer?
Chasing Deer create catchy and energetic dance rock music. The trio have performed over 1000 live shows across the UK and Europe at a huge variety of iconic venues and events, including singing to President Uhuru Kenyatta over in Kenya. The band have supported festival slots for UB40 and Feeder, and perform at festivals worldwide.
The band released new music every month of 2018 which featured British Sign Language imagery, raising awareness for the deaf community. They have ensured that their biggest live shows (such as Bush Hall, Trafalgar Square and Charing Cross Theatre) are all BSL interpreted performances. Their debut album 'Hands On' was covered by Sky News, BBC Radio 2, London Live and the Metro Newspaper. The album launch at Bush Hall was sponsored by Marshall Amps, with outfits provided by John Lewis Westfield.
Chasing Deer's musical catalog has received numerous plays on the radio from Touch FM and BBC Music Introducing (both national and regional shows). The band have also been interviewed on BBC Radio London, BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, BBC West Midlands and BBC Three Counties. BBC radio 2 discussed the song 'Placebo' as part of their 'Happy New Ear-worm!' feature.
Most recently, Chasing have written the single 'unstoppable' for Pride in London, (sang to a crowd of 10,000 people in Trafalgar Square). They devised and curated the world's first Sofar Sounds accessible show, and recorded an intro jingle for Matt Lucas' BBC Radio 2 show.
Chasing Deer are currently working on their next musical project, recorded in Tuscany in 2019, as well as a number of collaborations.
