Chasing Deer are creating a real buzz with their catchy and upbeat pop songs, through writing, performing and living music full-time in London.
With polished, sophisticated melodies and harmonies reminiscent of The Beatles, artistic inspiration of David Bowie and stagecraft of Bastille, enjoy listening to Chasing Deer!
They have covered the UK and Europe over the last two years showcasing their first two EPs 'Rewriting History' and ‘Moving On’ in over 750 performances, including supporting festival slots for UB40, The Pigeon Detectives and Feeder. Their music features regularly on BBC Introducing and has been played internationally on the BBC World Service.
Chasing Deer will release a new single on the last Friday of every month of 2018 via Spotify and all other major streaming sites.
This new selection of music explores the band’s wide range of inspiration, working with industry renowned producers such as Stuart Epps (Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Oasis).
The artwork for each song features hands portraying a simple word or phrase which relate to each single, in British Sign Language. This will collate into a unique and eye-catching collection of cover art, whilst raising awareness of British Sign Language, advised by the British Deaf Association.

The Origin Story
People often ask us where we get our band name 'Chasing Deer'?!
In 2011 a video was uploaded of 'Fenton the dog' chasing deer across Richmond Park in London. It, racked up millions of views and soon went viral! Liking both the animal, and the inevitable 'google search connections', the seeds for 'Chasing Deer' as a band name were sown in Rob's head.
A year later, the words appeared on screen as an answer by comedians David Mitchell and Eddie Izzard, on Channel 4's 'Big Fat Quiz Of The Year'. The rest is history!
